As a private pilot, when I go on holiday I like to hire an aircraft and see the local sites, as well as gaining invaluable flying experience in foreign countries. After much research I found a great location to fly from in the Algarve back in 2007 and have shared this information with a number of people over the last few years.
A british guy called Ken Tomsett has a business called Aero Algarve based at Portimao aerodrome. He is very helpful and knowledgeable about flying in Portugal. His contact details and web-site are below which detail what's on offer.
